HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR FOR OPERATIONS (BRAZIL, PERU, CHILE)
Our client, a major multinational company of electric power generation, is seeking an experienced HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR FOR OPERATIONS.
Its primary mission will be to ensure compliance with corporate policies on health, safety and environment in all the companies in the group.
Requirements:
• Engineering degree, with specialization in HSE.
• Mandatory minimum of 10 years in HSE in Construction.
• Fluent Portuguese and/or Spanish and intermediate level of English.
• LoTo procedures, Risk assessment and risk mitigation, knowledge on behaviour based safety is a plus, root cause analysis
• Implementation of H&S management programs, implementation of health programs.
• Power industry background (generation in different domains, hydro, thermal, wind and gas industry).
Special conditions:
• Located preferably in Brazil, Peru or Chile or willing to relocate in these countries.
• Travel up to 60%, to Europe and within Latin America.
Some responsibilities include:
• Provide H&S support to Operating Companies.
• Once REX solutions are found evaluate the ability to be replicated in other companies and propose them as best practices to be shared; extend the recommendations to HQ in order to increment the coverage of those solutions
• Maintain a Solutions Center Database with most important processes and best practices to allow consultation by relevant people. Including accidents reviews and analysis incidents and lessons learnt.
• By identifying best practices across IPR GSELA area and outside of the group and propose plan to implement proactive H&S measures
• Participate in analysis of maturity level of OpCos by auditing and performing IPMS, compare them with other companies of the region within the group and with external benchmarks. Propose course of action to gradually improve such maturity levels of each entity.
