Offshore Drilling Engineer (Senior)
Descrição da vaga
Well planning engineering:
Offset drilling information analysis and recommendations;
Casing design engineering and recommendations;
Fluid design and BHA engineering and recommendations;
Torque and drag engineering and BHA recommendations;
Cementing design engineering and slurry and cementing procedure recommendations;
Risk analysis of well design participation;
Preparation of well program and deliverables as required by Well Construction Manual and standards and/or applicable industry and local requirements and standards;
Supervision and coordination of contractors in their specific engineering domain;
Preparation of technical specifications for drilling services. Liaison with HSE and Procurement and feedback on tender documents;
Preparation of cost estimates for drilling operation;
Review of geological information and Liaison with Exploration Dpt., incorporating of geological information in drilling program and drilling optimization;
Verification and optimization of riser and conductor analysis studies;
Preparation mooring analysis, and/or supervision of mooring analysis consultant;
Documenting all engineering and all planning of well as required by company;
Coordination of office junior engineers and rig site engineers as required to meet all tasks mentioned above;
Supervision of QA/QC of equipments and materials to be used in the operation, and follow up of 3rd party inspections and coordination and follow up of corrective actions if necessary;
Evaluation of contractors performance.
Well execution engineering:
Follow up daily operations
Assist Drilling Superintendent with engineering support as required
Supervision of service contractors service and reports
Daily check drilling mechanics and fluid systems. Optimizations, lookaheads on hydraulics and torque and drag
Service and invoices verification
Daily cost tracking and QA/QC
Daily –or as required–liaison with Exploration Dpt. and review of geological information. Update drilling plan and propose program changes as applicable
Drilling program changes and corresponding risk analyses
Assitance to Drilling Superintendent in contractors management, supervision and coordination as required
Supervision of QA/QC of equipments and materials to be used in the operation, and follow up of 3rd party inspections and coordination and follow up of corrective actions if necessary
Evaluation of contractors performance
Preparation of end of well reports and lessons learned
Evaluation and coaching of junior engineers
Competências e experiências desejadas
Up to date well control certificate IWCF or optionally Wellcap
+/- 10 years experience in offshore fields, as drilling engineer with combined experience in offshore drilling operations. Solid career is preferred to extensive career
Experience in offshore completions and or DST will be a plus
Commitment to safe operations and to local, international and company’s safety and environmental regulations and standards
Flexibility and adaptability to operators requirements and standards
Pro-activeness and curiosity
Effectiveness and problem solving skills
Commitment to collaboration with fellow engineers and other departments
Total availability to travel and work as required responding to planning or operational needs. Work on rig availability would be required but only considered exceptionally depending on operations needs
