Guarapari, Siri and Itaoca are ultra deep water drillships of Jurong Espadon drillship design and is scheduled to be delivered by Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz located in the state of Espirito Santo.
These 3 drillships incorporate state of the art technology for safe and efficient operations in ultra deep water and complies with international rules and regulations for operations worldwide.
Odfjell Galvão and SETE Brasil share joint ownership. Odfjell Galvão has a 20% ownership share and the vessels are on a 15 year contract for Petrobras in Brazil, with a 5 year option.

Operations Preparations (OPO), units is seeking for:
TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Odfjell Galvão is seeking a Technical Superintendent for Guarapari, a new sixth generation Ultra-Deepwater drillship built at the Jurong shipyard in Singapore and later on at Aracruz shipyard in Brazil, Espirito Santo. Guarapari is scheduled delivered from yard July 2016.
The candidate for the Technical Superintendent will from the agreed start date be based in Odfjell Galvão office in Rio de Janeiro.
The candidate will be a member of the Operation Preparation Organization (OPO) during the building and commissioning phase of the drillship. After delivery the position will either continue in the same position for Gurapari responsible the operation phase or continue within OPO for the two next vessels Itaoca and Siri.

The position will be based in Rio in Brazil, but it will be necessary with frequent visits to the Aracruz shipyard. It could later on from mid-2015 be necessary to move this position closer to the shipyard Aracruz.

Odfjell Galvão has been awarded a 15 years contract with Petrobras for the new build Guarapari for use in pre-salt region.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Technical Superintendent has direct superintendent responsibility for assigned rig/drillship, in addition to management responsibility for some areas as defined by the Rig Manager.

In the position the Technical Superintendent shall:

Supervise and follow up the operation preparations for the installation on behalf of the Owners and thus responsible for ensuring:

•Implementation of the drillship maintenance system including necessary analysis
•Implementation of all the technical procedures
•Responsible for following up purchasing of long lead items, spare parts and consumables
•Participate in GAP analysis and compliance measurement check lists
•Participate in interviews and recruitment / advise HR regards to employments of technical crew
•Secure experience transfer from other new builds projects within the fleet.
•Following up that the installation complies with applicable rules, regulations, company and industrial standards
•Verify customers’ requirements are followed up and complied with
•Ensure that the installation is run economically
•Secure that the installation is operated efficiently
Within the technical departments:
•Act as main contact and assist fleet/rig management
•Control incoming documentation and ensure that all requirements are met
•Coordinate with purchaser regarding technical issues and instruct if necessary
•Be updated on the installations technical status, and actively ensure that company standards are followed.
•Keep installation manager informed and report status and possible deviations regularly.
•Assist rig management in planning and execution of maintenance and repair, including class activity
•Verify the rigs/vessels budget proposals and complete operating budget
•Evaluate, edit and complete class/repair specifications
•Responsible for the follow up of class and flag state survey and conditions.
•Assist rig organization in inquiries, offers, bid comparison and prepare for class activity/repair
•Attend to possible problems in a proactive manner
•Part of the technical emergency action groups in case of technical emergency
•Participate in technical investigations
•Ensure coordination between rig organization and MODU T&P organization, Inform own and other disciplines as necessary and contribute to their work
•Contribute to implementation and further development of Odfjell Drilling standards for operations
•Contributor in Business Development projects/prospects
•Supervise investments and upgrade projects, follow up towards supplier
•Continuous develop the technical operational model for MODU operations.
•Audit and coach rig organization in technical operation model
•Responsible for follow up the established maintenance program for given rig/drillship
•Ensure technical appliance with procedures
•Coordinate with service companies on maintenance follow up
Specific for the pre operational phase:
•Preparations of technical procedures and systems
•Input to relevant QHSE related studies and analyzes
•Preparations of all documentation related to certifying bodies and client
•Implementation of the drillship maintenance system including necessary analysis

Qualifications:
•Experience and expertise in management of technical rig / drillship operations
•Technical educational background
•Experience from international work would be an advantage
•Fluent in English, both oral and written

Manager, Pre Operations
Odfjell Galvão is seeking a manager for the Operational Preparations for the three Ultra Deepwater drillships that is built at Jurong shipyard in Aracruz, Espirito Santo. The first unit, Guarapari, is scheduled delivered from yard July 2016.

The candidate will be the manager of the Operation Preparation Organization (OPO) in Brazil during the building and commissioning phase of the drillship

Duties/Responsibilities:
Central work assignments in the position:

•Responsible for the coordination of all the aspects related to the mobilization of the drilling units:

-Recruitment and training of crew
-Recruitment of onshore Rig Management team
-Preparations of maintenance system
-Procurement of spares
-Preparations of procedures and systems
-Preparations of all QHSE related studies and analyzes
-Preparations of all documentation related to certifying bodies and client
-Financial control during the Pre Op phase
-Emergency Preparedness during the Pre Op phase.

The Pre Op Manager is responsible for ensuring that commercial and other goals are reached and that operations are prepared in accordance with internal requirements and the requirements of the customer and the authorities.

Desired Qualification:
•Relevant engineering / operations qualification or equivalent.
•Minimum 5 years managerial experience within drilling and operations of platforms
•Experience as Rig Manager is an advantage
•Fluent Portuguese language skill is an advantage.
