Mechanical Fitter / Welder 

Job Description

Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Check grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
Analyze specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.
Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.
Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.

Oiler 

Job Description

Assist and carry out maintenance activities as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the vessel.
Conduct in a safe manner maintenance activities on mechanical or other plant and equipment.
Ensure that all of equipment used, workshops, work areas, are always maintained in a clean and tidy condition, including chemical and paint lockers
To carry out chipping and painting as required.
To check and record tank ullages and quantity as defined by the Maintenance Superintendent.
Assist during internal transfer of fuel oil.
Assist during bunkering operations and ensure they are conducted in accordance with rules and regulations.
Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.


Control System Technician 

Job Description

General Job Summary:

Responsible to Develop activities of Maintenance and ensure a safe and consistent control of all instrument and systems.  
 Monitor FCS or equivalent system to ensure that all related systems are operating and all required data are registered.
 Ensure that all PTW is being followed and all isolations on facilities and equipment are in compliance with MdB HSEQ MS Policies and Procedures.
 Support during shutdowns and Emergencies reestablishing the plant safely.
 Responsible to control and manage the backups of all systems in the facility.
 Troubleshoot the shutdowns looking at the Sequence of Events, trends on the system and all other troubleshooting tools available, pinpointing the root cause of the issue.
 Be the responsible to control all changes in the systems of the facility (Setpoints, Cause and Effect, additional logics, serial maps, trends, etc) when the changes are approved through Management of change procedure.
Support the Maintenance team investigating in deep details the root cause of failures on the facility in the E&I&C disciplines giving directions to get the issues fixed safely.
 Responsible for maintenance of all the network systems of the automated system in the facility.
 Knowledge of NR-10 regulation and Hazardous areas of the facility.
To ensure at shift changeover that all Maintenance overrides (MOS) has been removed or detailed list provided to I&C Lead / Electrical Supervisor / Maintenance Superintendent.


ENGINE ROOM SUPERVISOR 

Job Description

Assist, coordinate and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, and all instrument / control systems under Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent guidelines;
Perform regular rounds, check areas of machinery and all equipment on engine room, main deck / topsides, repair any defects and report (Root Cause Analysis) as required. Assist in other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Superintendent;
Ensure proper watch keeping and monitoring of all equipment and rapid response to alarms and shutdowns of equipment;
Supervise oiler / roustabout, and other team members when carrying out maintenance activities, including machinery and equipment related to the Maintenance and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment;
Supervise and assist with all maintenance activities on mechanical or other plant and equipment, among others


CARGO TECHNICIAN 

Job Description

Execute all Cargo Operations on the installation in a safe and efficient manner as per Immediate Supervisor instructions and Cargo Supervisor guidelines;

Responsible for effectively controlling and maintain all lifesaving appliances o/B;

Ensure that all marine related operations are executed within the parameters established by regulatory authorities, MODEC’s HSEQ-MS Policies and Procedures, MODEC’s Marine Operations Manual, IMO, ISM Code, Marpol, SOLAS, Country Labor requirement.

Ensure to understand all requirements and guidelines by the Superintendent.  Carry out work in a safe and responsible manner. Adhere to requirements and provisions of the MODEC management systems;

Advise and assist the Marine Superintendent / Cargo Supervisor on all marine related activities, such as, Cargo and ballasting operations;

Ensure Inventory of SOPEP material taken every week and minimum quantity of SOPEP material is maintained onboard at all time;

Ensure Inventory for cargo sling onboard is taken weekly and update register accordingly;

Participate in the effective monitoring, audit and review of management systems and procedures, and to contribute to their further development where appropriate;

Ensure  that he is familiar and clearly understands MODEC HSEQ policies, as well  as the HSEQ-MS Roles and Responsibilities, and that he understand their emergency response duties;

Safety Critical Functions:

Supervisor de Produção

Job Description

Realizar de forma segura e eficiente a operação dos equipamentos relacionados à planta do processo e  produção seguindo as diretrizes estabelecidas pelo Superintendente de Processos. Garantir que a PTW e o Sistema de Isolamento sejam seguidos e gerenciados. Responsável pela supervisão de troca de turno da equipe de Produção e contratados.

Monitorar e controlar todo o equipamento relacionado ao processo via FCS e outros painéis de controle durante o turno.

Fornecer ao pessoal da produção e às contratadas de serviço informações corretas e adequadas conforme as indicações do Superintendente de Processo.

Auxiliar no planejamento anual de I e Ts.

Compreender e aplicar diagramas de PSD, ESD e C&E (diagrama de efeitos & causas).

Estar familiarizado com os sistemas de pedidos de trabalho.

Otimizar a produção e os produtos químicos.

Inibir e gerir o Controle.

Fornecer informações fidedignas ao Cliente (caso solicitadas) e aos gerentes da MODEC mediante consentimento do Superintendente de Produção.

Realizar as ordens de serviço conforme orientações.
Verificar os relatórios da Modec e do cliente.

Estar familiarizado com as normas da operação e de segurança e com os procedimentos definidos pelo Cliente.

Maintenance Superintendent

Job Description

Manage and control the Maintenance Department (offshore) so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, including machinery related to the Marine and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment.
Ensure the Permit to Work (PTW) system is adhered to and that all isolations are in compliance with the MODEC Isolation Philosophy.
Assure that the appointment done during the closeout of any Work Order registered in AMOS precisely reflects the maintenance executed, the materials used, the time and man power required and an accurate failure description.
Technical responsibility for all mechanical and electrical systems. Manage, administer and control the Asset Management Operating System (AMOS), among others.


Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

Act as the first channel for technical support for the Maintenance crew, involving the reliability engineers whenever needed.
Support the maintenance crew for repairs situations.
Ensure Predictive Analysis such as Vibration, Thermography, Oil Analysis, and Lubrication among other techniques are being carried out appropriately in the designated vessels within the fleet designated to his onshore base, considering inclusive coordination between Operations Team and Procurement to allocate chopper’s seats and available POB space in the referred platforms.
Receive and filter Predictive Analysis Results to be discussed / shared to the Reliability’s Specialists Team, coordinating/requesting forward future corrective actions on the equipment based on the predictive analysis.
Elaborate, Review and Coordinate scope for all major breakdowns or corrective Work Orders. Making sure all Resources and Tools are available onboard to carry on the job upon previous agreed schedules. This implicates following it up third partners to size and safely execute the task; suppliers to deliver in time goods to be used in the ship as per scheduled; supply chain to make sure all needed goods/equipment are onboard to carry on jobs as per previous schedule and agreements; logistics to provide chopper’s seats and available POB space to carry on jobs.
Analyze major or frequent breakdowns and suggest modifications to the Maintenance Plan or Operations Procedure in order to prevent recurrence and preserve the asset. Propose change under MOC to the appropriate Engineering Team (Process or Maintenance).
Monitor Maintenance KPIs (indicators) for units, identifying gaps and proposing adequate man power whenever necessary to fulfill Maintenance Plan targets.
Review/Assist Buyers regarding to quotations, technical specifications and possible suppliers.
Participate weekly in video/phone conferences with the Maintenance Superintendents to understand difficulties and to assist new issues which appears in the daily basis.
Ensure quality and warranty at major repairs in third partners through visits in the workshop following it up repair and test phase (it is recommended that the Engineer should testify final quality tests and acceptance tests at the workshop site or send a Modec fiscal to testify final quality and acceptance tests). Also, making sure all demands from third partners are fulfilled avoiding warranty contract void terms.

INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL LEAD (I&C Lead) 

Job Description

General Job Summary:
Responsible to supervise and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, all instruments and control systems.
Trained and tested by the Electrical Supervisor (RPE) to perform all electrical switching operations required such as ‘Black Start operations’ and all HV operations, assisting whenever requested by the Electrical Supervisor (RPE).
Supervise and carry out maintenance / repair / routine inspection activities on equipment, automation / electro systems in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (AMOS).
Responsible to ensure critical tasks such as Fiscal Metering Loops are calibrated regularly according to ANP regulations and MODEC Standards predefined by Metering Onshore Team, Fire & Gas Loops are checked/calibrated regularly according to the Maintenance Plan (semiannually, unless stated otherwise under special conditions input in AMOS) and NR13 Pressure Transmitters and Indicators to be checked/calibrated regularly according to the Maintenance Plan (yearly, unless stated otherwise under special conditions input in AMOS).
Supervise and perform Preventive and Corrective maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all instrumentation and control systems, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic including Fire and Gas, Deluge and sprinkler systems, Tank radar systems and Power generation, Tele / data and all associated equipment on board to maintain efficiency and ensure stable and secure operation.
All test and inspection routines required by the Planned Maintenance System are completed to maximize the effectiveness of machinery.
Maintain stock control of relevant parts and equipment. Ensure the rational and economical use of equipment and spares.
Implement Amos work order routines and report all work orders / history on a timely basis, prepare IHR and Corrective work orders, update consumption of spares and consumables and future requirements to the Maintenance Superintendent.
Ensure effective communication within the Maintenance Department and coordinate and cooperate with the Maintenance Superintendent and other departments.
Strictly implement the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including isolation and de-isolation, inhibit certificates and long term isolation procedures in line with MODEC procedures and Electrical Safety Rules as a Safety Critical Task.
Provide technical advice where applicable to implementation of maintenance as well as failure analysis; provide relevant assessment of equipment performance, giving appropriate recommendation to improvement of facilities and maintenance performance.
Develop/Train and Coach Instrument Technicians, Metering Technicians, and System Technicians to ensure competence.
Responsible for ensuring a comprehensive hand over is given to maintenance superintendent at shift or crew change with all pertinent operational and maintenance information
