Engine Room Supervisor/ Supervisor de Praça de Máquinas 

General Job Summary:

Assist, coordinate and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, and all instrument / control systems under Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent guidelines;
Perform regular rounds, check areas of machinery and all equipment on engine room, main deck / topsides, repair any defects and report (Root Cause Analysis) as required. Assist in other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Superintendent;
Ensure proper watch keeping and monitoring of all equipment and rapid response to alarms and shutdowns of equipment;
Supervise oiler / roustabout, and other team members when carrying out maintenance activities, including machinery and equipment related to the Maintenance and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment;
Supervise and assist with all maintenance activities on mechanical or other plant and equipment;
Ensure that all of the equipment used, workshops, work areas, are always maintained in a clean and tidy condition;
Prepare PTW and strictly implement the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including isolation and de-isolation, inhibit certificates and long term isolation in line with MODEC procedures;
Implement Amos work order routines and report all work orders / history on a timely basis, prepare IHR and Corrective work orders, update consumption of spares and consumables and future requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent;
Responsible for ensuring a comprehensive handover is given to Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent at shift or crew change with all pertinent operational and maintenance reports. To ensure at shift changeover that all Maintenance overrides (MOS) have been removed or detailed list provided to Maintenance Superintendent / OIM;
Manage bunkering, ensuring:
Adequate stocks of bunker oils, all other consumables oils, greases and fresh water at all times;
Bunkering operations are conducted in accordance with rules and regulations;
Quality and quantity of bunkers received are in accordance with procedures;
Lubricating oils in use are tested regularly in accordance with rules;
Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in a safe and responsible manner, and in compliance with requirements and provisions of safety and corporate management systems;
Safeguarding the welfare of himself and fellow crewmembers;
Ensure that the FSO / FPSO Waste Management policy is followed
