The Peregrino Development is located in 100 - 120 meters of water, 55 miles offshore from Cabo Frio in Block B-MC-7 of the Campos Basin, Brazil. The field is being developed using two wellhead platforms with drilling modules and is producing via a subsea flow line to a +/-2MMBO FPSO.
Drilling and completions are conducted from two project owned, 3000 hp modular platform rigs. Drilling operations started late 2010 and to date more than 40 wells have been drilled and completed, both producers and injectors, including extended reach wells up to 8613 m, the longest well ever drilled in Brazil . There are totally 60 slots on the two wellhead platforms. In addition, Peregrino Phase II will be developed with the third platform in the field, giving 30 more slots to be drilled (22 wells currently planned). Start of drilling Phase II is 2020.
The producer wells are completed as horizontal production wells, gravel-packed and with Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs).
