ResponsibilitiesThe Rig Superintendent is the Diamond Offshore Representative who is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the drilling rig so as to meet the company and contracting oil company's goals and objectives. This includes the welfare of all personnel, the efficient and productive use of supplies and proper maintenance of the rig equipment. The Rig Superintendent is responsible for maintaining a working relationship and communication with the Operator Representative. The Rig Superintendent maintains compliance with all host country, local and corporate directives. The Rig Superintendent is responsible for the direct supervision of all first line supervisors.
